The students of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers in the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering in Al-Azhar were able to obtain the first international award of excellence at the level of international petroleum societies. The SPE Al-Azhar team is the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Al-Azhar University (Society of Petroleum Engineers) and one of the branches of SPE international, the International Society of Petroleum Engineers in America, which includes more than 480 associations around the world, and Al-Azhar is one of them. The team was founded in 2005 at Al-Azhar University.
The vision of the team is to win the best Society of Petroleum Engineers in the world, which is presented by the International Society of Petroleum Engineers in America under the name of Outstanding, and to help all students and recent graduates and qualify them for the labor market, by conducting lectures, conferences and training, whether in the petroleum field or not.
Their motto is "Be the one who shines, striving to develop each individual on a personal and professional level".
