The President of Al-Azhar University honors the Petroleum and Mining team at the Faculty of Engineering after being crowned with the Presidential Excellence Award from the American Society of International Petroleum Engineers
Proceeding from the fact that science and scientific research are the real locomotive for comprehensive development, implementing sustainable development goals and achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030 under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in the new republic, and based on the universality of the message of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, inclusive and university headed by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
The Honorable Dr. Salama Daoud, President of the University, and Dr. Mohamed El-Sherbiny, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, honored the team of the Mining and Petroleum Department at the Faculty of Engineering for Boys, Al-Azhar University in Cairo, which was crowned with the Presidential Excellence Award of the Society of International Petroleum Engineers in the United States of America (Society of Petroleum Engineers) SPE) is among the best petroleum engineering departments in the world in student activity for the 2022 academic year.
The university president expressed his happiness with this global award, which is a great scientific asset added to the balance of the Faculty of Engineering for Boys, Al-Azhar University in Cairo, and reflects the excellence and leadership of the educational system in the field of petroleum and mining engineering at Al-Azhar University along with the system of Arab and legal sciences.
It is worth noting that the Department of Mining and Petroleum Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering for Boys, Al-Azhar University in Cairo, was crowned in the activities of the annual conference of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers in the United States of America, which was held this year in Houston, Texas, and the award was received by Engineer Hassan Atallah, one of the sons of the Department of Mining and Petroleum Engineering. This came in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Muhanna, Dean of the College, Dr. Massad Muhammad Saadawi, Head of the Department of Mining and Petroleum Engineering at the faculty, Dr. Tarek Muhammad Aboul Fotouh, supervisor of student activities for petroleum engineering, and the SPE team.
